10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park
This is the biggest maritime event to come to Lake County! It’s two full days of fun on the waterfront, starting with tours of a tall ship, shanty singers and storytellers, lighthouse museum tours, sand sculpting, boating and two concerts, including the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight.
Madeline, is a replica of the original 92-foot tall ship, Madeline, that was built-in Fairport Harbor in 1845. This newer version was built by the Maritime Heritage Alliance, a non-profit organization from Traverse City, Michigan. It’s crew serves as roving ambassadors, as they cruise to ports and festivals to give people a chance to experience a slice of maritime history.
Activities will take place on the dock near the Madeline, on the beach, and on Lighthouse Hill under the shadow of the Fairport Harbor Marine Museum and Lighthouse.
Sunday activities includes an evening performance by the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight, with fireworks to follow.
